Extensive custom concrete for a mid-century icon

This notable home in West Vancouver is known as the “Butterfly House,” featuring an original mid-century design by architect D.M. Manning. The 3,419 sq/ft house was built in 1956 and renovated in 2018, with Sol Landscapes completing a range of all-new concrete work around its 17,000+ sq/ft lot.

We installed a new driveway, and concrete steps, retaining walls, and walkways throughout. We resurfaced the pool and deck area, along with stone patching for the pool wall. The highlight of this project was the poured, foam-filled slab bench around the fire pit. We also assisted with the firepit’s gas lines and some planting.
